In our neck of the woods, trick or treaters were out and about last night.
We didn’t carve pumpkins or decorate this year but yesterday, before he went to work, Papa Bear got all creative-like and made paper bag lanterns.
This is the first year Bear Cub and I have been home to pass out candy. Usually he dresses up and I take him and his friends out for several hours of freezing cold fun. This year he opted to not go but to hang out at home and pass out candy.
Since our neighborhood is infested with children, I thought we would have a lot of trick or treaters so I bought plenty of candy.
Unfortunately, it rained here yesterday so I think the combination of rain and colder temperatures kept many kids from going out. I think we had about 9 kids show up.
We now have too much damn candy in the house!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GABRIEL!!
Gabe was found running stray and brought to an animal shelter back in October 2008. Judging by his size and the amount of baby teeth he had at the time, they figured he was about a year old and wrote down his birthday as October 1st.
I adopted Gabe in late November and immediately took him to our Veterinarian who also agreed that he was about a year old and wrote down his birthday as November 30th.
Bear Cub and I split the difference and dubbed his birthday October 31st!
