This is an update to this post.
Well, the Sears “solution” ended up being good news for The Homestead after all. It only took about a month, but oh well.
I realize in looking at the picture, there isn’t much difference in color between this white one and the other beige one but in person, it was huge.
And I’m not sure if the nice young men that delivered the new fridge felt the need to “go the extra mile” to make things right or if they just had time on their hands but they even switched the door and handles to the other side for us.
I’ve always been a fan of Sears. Probably because I grew up with them long before any of those big box stuffmart stores came along so I’m glad this turned out well…cause it could have been sort of ugly otherwise.

do you like the freezer drawer? We thought about getting one but went w the side by side. Like it but we may try the freezer drawer next time around. Hopefully not for a very very long time!!!

That bottom freezer is actually a door and not a drawer like you’d expect. There’s a fixed shelf on top and a large wire drawer that pulled out.
There’s actually more space with a door freezer verses a drawer freezer.
